PERTH ZOO ANNOUNCES END TO ELEPHANT KEEPING

Following the death of 65-year old Tricia, Australia’s Environment Minister supported Perth Zoo’s plans to relocate the two remaining elephants, saying, “When Tricia came here in 1963 and went into that concrete enclosure it’s not something we would do today, so we’re looking for a more appropriate home for our remaining elephants…”
