CALIFORNIA CITY PASSES HISTORIC LEGISLATION TO PROTECT ELEPHANTS LIBERTY

"...the first city in the US to recognize the legal right of a nonhuman animal."

This is very heartening news for us at Pangea and we hope it is the first of many improvements to animal welfare legislation around the world. You can click the button below to read the full article with the history behind this momentous announcement.

"The ordinance expressly recognizes that elephants possess the right to liberty, prohibits any person from preventing elephants from exercising their right to liberty, and details how the law will be enforced and the penalty for violating it."
